5.0 out of 5 Excellent!, 29th July 2007

Review By GH K. Littler Jones (Wales)

This product is excellent. Haven't used an epilator before but would recommend this one to anyone, especially someone who usually waxes. The pain was similar if not less than waxing and the results much better.

5.0 out of 5 Pretty Good!`, 9th August 2007

Review By Cookie

This is the first time i had bought an epilator but i was pretty impressed with it. The functions are easy to use and even though it did hurt (at first) the pain quite quickly subsided and the results were really good. i would reconmend this to anyone who hasnt used an epilator before. Good choice.

3.0 out of 5 Bit of a learning curve, 3rd October 2007

Review By Dr. R. J. Swindells "Rachel" (Warwickshire, UK)

I'm a first time user who previously shaved. Epilating is less frequent but quite time-consuming on the occasions you do it. The results are mostly good, but patchy in some places. It's surprising how little it does hurt considering what you're doing, but the first few times were quite painful. Underarms were excruciating and I seemed to get some sort of friction burns that scabbed over - not pretty. I ended up using tweezers to do a substantial part of the job, but can now use the epilator without much discomfort there. Compared with shaving, regrowth is much softer and finer and you don't look 'stubbly'.

4.0 out of 5 Persistence is the Key, 23rd August 2008

Review By Amanda (England)

Having not used an epilator before, I wasn't sure what to expect. Agony is the answer - but only at first. Admittedly, I was left with red-raw armpits the first couple of times, which hurt too much to use deodorant, but if you don't mind a bit of persistence, it beats shaving by some margin. Whilst I'm not sure I'd go along with the manufacturer's claims of smooth skin "for up to four weeks", it's still much less frequent than using a razor and, once you get used to it, it doesn't hurt, either. Plus, no shaving rash. The hairs grow back finer, and, whilst time-consuming in the beginning, you can just have a quick "touch-up" if you want to. You also get a smoother result than with a razor. Personally, I wouldn't go back.
